SOLIDO (179) Porsche 914-6 1969-1973 yellow

This very original car comes from a collaboration between Volkswagen and Porsche, with a load-bearing body in two steel doors and engine centrally located, and could be equipped with a 4-cylinder Volkswagen engine of 1,679 cm³ and 80 hp (914/4) or a 6-cylinder Porsche engine of 1991 cm³ and 110 hp (914/6). The commercial success of the 914/4 was quite good while the 914/6 produced were only 3,351. So the Porsche motor-powered car was produced only from 1969 to 1971 while the Volkswagen motorized version was produced until 1975. The model produced by Solido is the Porsche motor-powered car that, aesthetically, differs from the 914/4 only for the wheel rims.
The Solido model is characterized by its retractable headlights and removable roof. There are no variations in this model.
