It is a masterpiece of Solido this Bugatti Royale which is part of the Age d'Or series and consists of 28 pieces. In addition to the doors that can be opened (then removed over the years) the engine reproduction is also introduced. Very long the career of this model car that was reproduced from 1964 to 1981.

The Solido model car has 5 variants:

- 1st version (pictured): baseplate without holes for fixing, doors that can be opened, specific wheel rims and raw metal engine, small lights on the front fenders, gear and brakes lever separately fitted, large windows on the roof, baseplate with the words "Made in France" and bumper fixed to the model car by means of 2 pins. The box with base is specific white with number 2 (2nd model car of the Age d'Or series) and stamp with the colour of the model car. Production: 1964.

Colours of the 1st version: metallic dark green blue, metallic burgundy, metallic beige grey, black, metallic dark bluish green.

- 2nd version: baseplate fixed to the base, chromed wheel rims and the box is red with plexiglass base and display case. Production: 1964.

Colour of the 2nd version: black.

- 3rd version: doors that cannot be opened, baseplate fixed to the base and with the words "solido / IND. BRAS. (INDUSTRIA BRASILEIRA)", chromed wheel rims, large lights on the front fenders, bumper leaning against the front bar and gear and brakes lever separately fitted. The showcase-box is red-gold-burgundy. The chassis shows the words "solido/IND. BRAS. (INDUSTRIA BRASILEIRA)", because Solido rented some moulds of its model cars to the Brasilian Brosol that reproduced them under licence. The words on the baseplate, when the mould returned to France, were not changed for a long time and this explains the words IND. BRAS. on the model cars produced in France. Production: 1966.

Colours of the 3rd version: white, black with red seats.

- 4th version: the lights on the front fenders disappear, the baseplate shows the words "solido / IND. BRAS. (INDUSTRIA BRASILEIRA)", the doors are fixed and the wheel rims are made of chromed plastic. The showcase-box is burgundy. Production: 1974.

Colours of the 4th version: dark blue-silver, black with red seats.

- 5th version: same as the 4th version except for the baseplate that shows on a raised plate (the words IND. BRAS. had to be covered) the words "MADE IN FRANCE". The showcase-box is black. Production: 1979-1981.

Colour of the 5th version: black.

The seats of the 1st version are black or beige, those of the later versions are always red.
