This model is a car that actually never existed. In 1967 Abarth announced that he intended to build a racing car to compete in the Prototype Sports Brands World Championship. Abarth's ambition was to challenge the big brands like Porsche, Ford and Ferrari. For this purpose he designed a V12 engine of 6000 cm³ that was unveiled at the Turin sports car Motor Show in February 1967. Instead, there are only 2 scale models of the car with a tubular chassis, that should have been equipped with this engine, with 2 different configurations. The project was abandoned because of the change of international sporting regulations that reduced the maximum displacement for the Prototype Sport category to 3000 cm³ and 5000 cm³ in case at least 50 cars were built. The car should have been equipped with a 5982 cm³ engine that should have developed 610 hp (probably optimistic), and with a weight of 1000 kg it should have reached 300 kph.
