Pottery ashtray in the shape of a shield with a small deep cavity, at the centre of which there is a shield having the same shape as the one of the ashtray itself for the Panna water. The Panna spring has been known since the time of the ancient Romans, but it started being sold in demijohns in 1860. Starting from 1910 the marquises of Torrigiani (owners of Villa Panna) began to bottle the Acqua Panna mineral water in 1-liter glass bottles. In 1957 the Panna water was bought by the Sanpellegrino company, which it still belongs to. The ashtray shows the words "ACQUA / SORGENTE / PANNA / FIRENZE".
